For sale is a Quincy QR-25 370 15 HP Reciprocating Air
Compressor, 120 gal tank. Works great. 15 HP, 230 or 460 volts
3 phase. QR-25 style pumps represent a breakthrough in
compressor design from 1930s, with pressure lubrication and
heavy duty valves. They evolved incrementally ever since,
and still represent the "gold standard" in reciprocating
compressor technology. You get both tremendous durability, as
well as increase in thermodynamic efficiency.
These compressors last forever. I used to own a
340 compressor from 1958, used hard all its life and still
going strong. Heavy duty 15HP three phase Marathon motor.
Looking at the dust on the compressor, I can see easily that
there are no oil leaks of any significance. The dust is dry.
I did not clean this compressor. It is just naturally clean
looking.
